I have been using Microsoft Photo Editor for years now, both at home and at my place of work, because it is still an excellent program. This little program came all the way from Windows 95's days if I'm correct and has always been working. It has served me well over the years and I could not give it less than a 5-star rating.
At Home I have Windows 7 Professional and there it still works fine, but since January after I've received a new PC at work that runs Windows 7 Enterprise, Microsoft Photo Editor all of a sudden does not want to work anymore.
Our PC Technician has gained a lot of extra grey hairs, because after ± 4 months he still can't get it to work. It is very frustrating to both of us.
The program in question uses the executable file: Photoed.exe. Where would I be able to get a freeware improved version from, or another program that would be able to do exactly the same as this one did? Someone, please help!?
I copied the entire Photo Editor folder from my XP Windows into the newer Widows 7 and it worked. One clear day it didn't display the picture anymore although Photo Editor went active. I saw it in the Task Manager. How could I get the pictures displayed again?
Easy to use; has all basic tools for daily use.
